TACHYONIC SHUNT THEORY

Breaking the Light Barrier

For centuries, the speed of light was considered the absolute ceiling of human ambition. Weyland Corp’s Tachyonic Shunt Drive (TSD) technology rewrote that fundamental law. By generating a high-energy field of sub-atomic tachyon particles, we are able to 'shunt' a vessel into a lower-dimensional state where the speed of light is no longer a limit.

The Alcubierre Metric

Our drives operate on a modified Alcubierre metric, compressing spacetime in front of the vessel and expanding it behind. This creates a 'warp bubble' that allows for effective speeds of up to 400x 'c'. The energy required for this operation is provided by our proprietary Fusion-Bred Antimatter cores, the most stable power source in the known galaxy.

Transit Safety & Stasis

While the ship itself moves faster than light, the biological passengers remain within a standard inertial frame. However, the localized gravitational stresses and chronal drift necessitate the use of hypersleep chambers for all non-synthetic personnel during transit. Long-duration exposure to a shunt field without shielding has a 98.4% correlation with permanent neural degradation.

CAUTION: Unauthorized tampering with the tachyon containment field during transit results in immediate vessel disintegration. Always follow Protocol 9-F.
